Aggregates: land and sea

The scale of extraction on land and at sea means that it is important to get good advice about heritage issues at an early stage.
From historic buildings, to buried sites and shipwrecks, our preliminary assessments will say not just what is already known, but what the likelihood of further finds is. Thorough surveys enable sensitive areas to be identified. These can either be designed out or mitigation works defined.
Working with the planning authorities means mitigation works can be programmed at the correct stage of the project cycle, not necessarily as a start-up cost.
Good heritage works are part of sustainable development. The community interest in this helps make aggregate operators good neighbours.
